Hi Byron.
I have just finished the measurements on on assembled Munin and I had no
problems. I have also tested with different versions of the output
transformer and I could see small differences in output on 6 meter using a
"conventional " transformer, around 10W less PEP. But I have had no "self
oscillation" that could have C27 to let out smoke.
Can you send me a picture of your PA transformer?
On 10 meter , the IM3 is a bit higher at 100W PEP than on the lower bands
but the gain is within +-3 dB except on 6 meter were it is ca 10 dB lower
than on 20 meter.
Are you using Hermes as the driver for Munin? If so, what Gain By Band do
you have on the different bands to get 100W PEP using the built in 2-tone
test. At 100W PEP, your Power meter should show 50W average. And how much
current is drawn at 100W PEP? I read around 11-12 A on different bands
except on 6 meter were it is around 14A.
If you do not have a new 470 pF/200V NPO capacitor, you can build it up
using smaller values but at least 200V rating.
