[hpsdr] [OT] wireless iambic paddles for CW?

Hi,
I guess this is a dinosaur question.

Has anyone thought about Zigbee or Bluetooth or some modern tiny 
wireless connection between Iambic Paddles (two switches) and the Hermes 
(Apache ANAN-10) CW input jack?

I guess there are various implementations using IR between paddles and a 
PC, but not a totally stand alone setup between an SDR Transceiver and a 
set of Iambic paddles.
