Angelia_v2.8 firmware is available for download from

This version of Angelia firmware dramatically reduces the time required to erase the FPGA image in the Angelia EEPROM when running HPSDR Programmer to update firmware in the ANAN-100D.  The change is a very noticable and welcome change from the behavior of v2.7 when using HPSDR Programmer to change firmware.  

Included in the download package is output_file.pof for this version.  It contains the erasing enhancement in both the FPGA image and bootloader image within itself.  While it is not strictly necessary that you load this file into your EEPROM, I recommend doing it if you happen to have a USB blaster cable and are comfortable with doing the loading.  If not, don’t fret, simply using HPSDR Programmer to load Angelia_v2.8 into your ANAN-100D will work fine for you and you will observe the erasure speed enhancement when Angelia_v2.8 is in your unit.  

In fact, to compare the relative performance improvement, try a few changes of firmware between Angelia_v2.7 and Angelia v2.8 using HPSDR Programmer.  When v2.7 is in your unit the erasing speed for firmware changes while using the HPSDR Programmer is noticably longer than when Angelia_v2.8 is present.
