Mike, 

I couldn’t tell you.  There was no difference for me or most others that tested it as I understand.  Power output was the same for both.  The changes between the versions had to do with EEPROM programming, not radio ops.  

I was thinking that perhaps your issue has to do with filter switching but maybe it doesn’t.
