This particular attenuator switching problem being different for different users is almost certainly due to different hardware configurations being used by the different users.  It should be noted, perhaps, that the details of how the switching of the attenuator is done varies considerably in the PowerSDR program depending upon what hardware selections have been made in the PowerSDR setup menu.  I suspect that this is the reason that some users report seeing the attenuator issue whereas others (using different hardware) don’t observe the problem.  That is, the bug is located in code within PowerSDR that is specific to one hardware configuration and is not present in the code that is used for other configurations.

In reporting such bugs it is most useful for the programmer to know what hardware configuration you are using when you are observing the problem  (i.e., whether you are using Atlas-based boards, Hermes, Angelia, or Orion), not simply the PowerSDR version you are running, as the code that switches the attenuator(s) (in this case) for a given hardware configuration is in a different location in the program from code that switches the attenuator(s) for a different hardware configuration.
