Too bad that post was in HTML and didn't get reasonably posted to the archives! That will
make it difficult for some people to use the information... Those of us who have chosen
to receive the digest form, and may only prowl the archives in between, have only seen
'html attachment scrubbed'. That's why posting 'as text' is the best choice on any email
list.

Long story short: Please always run the 'setup.exe' that comes with an installer package
for PowerSDR or other software if it exists. This should require that you choose to run
as administrator, if needed. If it doesn't, then Doug or someone needs to fix the WiX
installer package.

If you personally choose to avoid using setup.exe, and insist on using the msi directly,
it is YOUR responsibility to choose to run the installer 'as administrator'.

If the installer package is only an .msi file, then you may well have to choose to 'open a
command prompt, as administrator', then run the msi for the install package directly, as
was outlined in the suggestions.

It is also possible that something has changed in what is installed that now the installer
needs to be run 'as administrator', and isn't currently marked to do so. If that's the
case, maybe Doug or Joe can give me a 'heads-up' and I can work with them on this matter.

George K9TRV
