Upgraded Hermes to V2.6 last night. Process went smoothly, no apparent issues. Still using HPSDR Programmer 1.6 which continues to work flawlessly on an old WinXP box (with PCAP).

In testing V2.3 and V2.6 - am impressed with the improved functionality of the Hermes transmit chain.

In V2.3 the passband response was approximately sin(x)/x, with some aliasing near +/- 24 KHz.  Transmitting a +21 KHz baseband signal generated some -27 KHz alias content for example. For most ham baseband applications, none of this matters of course.

In V2.6 the transmit response is very impressive.  Flat amplitude out to near 24 kHz, and not able to see the generation of any aliasing components when sweeping out to +/- 24 KHz baseband. For certain unusual applications the flattened transmit chain is most welcome improvement. Thanks to Phil et al. for this nice upgrade to the FPGA code.
