Hey, it's not so bad here.

We only pay about $8 per gallon of gas. My observations are that 
anything one wants to buy here, no matter whether it is ham gear or 
consumer goods, if you pay $500 for an item in the States then we pay 
£550 for the same item here, which always sticks in my throat (not that 
you get it cheaper but that we have to pay so much above the "real" 
price). That's UK life for ya. The rule of thumb is that in the UK we 
pay a little more in pounds what you pay in dollars. Sometimes a lot 
more, too. . .
