John,

The problem is not with the Angelia.rbf file.

I don’t know how you managed to download something from 6/6/2014 (that date hasn’t even arrived yet); the creation date was 3/6/2014 for the file.

Sorry to have to tell you but the fact that numerous people have already downloaded the zip file and loaded the Angelia.rbf file contained in it to obtain v3.0 successfully in their board suggests strongly that you are doing something incorrectly or are using a corrupted file. Perhaps you didn’t do a “Discover” before loading the file into the board?

Just to be sure of things, I just now freshly downloaded the zip file myself, unzipped it, and used HPSDRProgrammer V2 nopcap (version 2.0.4.8) 2014-2-8 to load the Angelia.rbf file into my board and it worked fine, showing v3.0. Without knowing any more about your problem, I’d suggest using the latest HPSDR Programmer version, the version you are using is a few versions behind Dave’s current version it seems.

The Angelia.rbf file in the zipped folder is in fact v3.0; I simply didn’t rename it to Angelia_v3.0.rbf after the Quartus II compiler created it as Amgelia.rbf that’s all. Quartus II always names the file Angelia.rbf no matter what version is coded into the source code. In recent months, as a courtesy to you and others I normally rename it to include whatever version number I happened to have used in the source code itself; this time apparently I didn’t do that but on the other hand we never used to do it either so the “Angelia.rbf” name shouldn’t have caused any particular problem for you or for anyone, I think.

At least you may be assured that there’s nothing wrong with the zip file itself, at least as it exists on the server.
