[hpsdr] Bootloader issues

Hi Joe --

Thanks for the detailed checklist. Answers below (taking into account
your two clarifications in other messages).

But let me ask one stupid question: Where is this "J1" that the
Bootloader keeps talking about? There is nothing on my boards labelled
"J1". There is a "JP1" just to the left of the FPGA (next to JP2).
That's what I've been jumpering. Is that the correct one?

I'm almost concluding that my boards don't have the bootloader code,
which would be strange since they are both from the TAPR production run,
and one of them just came out of its sealed bag yesterday.

John

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

I get "Local Area Network 1" or "Local Area Network 2" -- assume that's
the same thing. It shows the local machine MAC and IP address.

No. When I either "Test Bootloader" or "Interrogate" I get an instant
message in the bottom of the window telling me that J1 needs to be
installed. This message appears almost at the same instant I click the
button. If I look at the status window, it says "Reading MAC Address"
then "Error: Timeout reading MAC address!"
