[hpsdr] Status of Hermes Gigabit

Hi Guys,

What can I do with Gigabit ethernet that I cannot do now or what will be
instantly recognizable as better functionality?

I use my radios as radios (chasing dx, working digital modes and the odd
rtty contest here and there)? I honestly do not see what I will miss by
having the guys focus on other new features/modes/devices/radios than the
current implementation.

I actually think they are looking forward to the next generation of HPSDR's
card stack. What they did 5 years ago ushered in the current radios we are
enjoying.

I maybe wrong so let know what I am missing in using my radio?
