Hi Helmut,I think you are confusing the primary inductance with the secondary. 4 turns on a BN 43 7051 is 4^2 X 7uh =112uH. That is plenty of inductance for 500kHz.. I agree trying to extend the range is a problem with leakage inductance. I suspect the present output core reactance looking at AN749 is a bit low for 160m. I bet the primary inductance is under 1uH for type 61 material.I'm not a fan of flux transformers in BB amplifiers TLT works better. I also don't like transformers having unbalanced DC forcing them to be large.I like the old Phillips applications for TLT transformers.
