[hpsdr] OT: Picozed SDR, any experience?

I think the OP was asking about the Zedboard SDR board, which is
indeed expensive. ($1295 through Avnet, which is where the Zedboard
site sends you to buy it. And no stock; they quote an average 8 week
lead time.) Besides the ZYNQ Z7020, it also includes an AD9361
transceiver IC which is itself a rather expensive part (around $220 in
quantity one), and the associated parts to make that transceiver
useful. The description says that the board is "factory-tuned for
optimal performance at 2400 – 2500 MHz, User-modifiable to other RF
center-frequencies from 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz" so it's not ultra-broadband
out of the box.

Zedboard makes a variety of ZYNQ-based boards. If you step up to the
ones with the big ZYNQ chips like the Z7100 they get expensive. Though
if you REALLY want to see a cringeworthy price, the SDR board with a
perpetual Mathworks license costs $38,795.
