I think there is a clue on the Tuner schematic for 7300 .  There is an RF
sampler leading to J1042, but there is no connector  and it just hangs in
the air.   On the block diagram it's marked as DPDDET.  I wonder if this
stands for "Digital Predistortion Detector" or something similar.  A
placeholder for future radios?
