[hpsdr] No RX at start; OK after MOX, TUNE

Good day;

In the last couple weeks, I sometimes am seeing a new "feature" in
my piHPSDR: When I first turn the radio and the PI on, I have no RX
display or audio. To resolve this, I tap the MOX or any other similar
action, which sets the radio to TX mode; A second tap returns me to RX
mode, and the RX is now normal for the duration of the session. This is
a seldom-seen thing, so it is just a point of interest.

I see this on BOTH of my piHPSDR units. I had done a PA-CAL at
_possibly_ the same time as this seldom-happening "new feature" first
showed up. -Is this small annoyance related to my PA-CAL action? I am
mostly using an Ethernet connection from the piHPSDR unit to a Gigabyte
A/P-switch by TP-Link. My ANAN-100 is hooked to this same network, not
directly to the same switch that the ipHPSDR is hooked to, but all are
on the same LAN.

When I am going to use the radio, I normally hit the power switch
on the PI, then turn my ANAN-100 on, as the PI is booting. In a few
seconds, I have the desktop, so I double-click the piHPSDR app on the
desktop. The app loads, I see the IP of the radio via Ethernet, and so
I click click connect. It is at this point that SOMETIMES the app will
show no RX activity and I will also have no RX audio. (-Tap the MOX or
TUNE to first go to TX mode, and a second tap to return to RX mode, and
all is well and good.)

I am wondering if anyone has ever seen this. -Also, it is strange
that I see this same thing with BOTH of my piHPSDR units! -Was the
PA-CAL action the contributing factor? (Is there some data that is
stored in the ANAN radio?) In my case, the common item is "all that is
not the piHPSDR unit." I have considered reloading my firmware, which
is 3.1b, as far as I can recall.

Last item: I am running "Version: V1.1.3-beta" as reported on the
PI screen. Is there a later, newer version of this app? This version
works nicely and is more stable than my earlier versions, but things
such as a COMPANDER, PURE SIGNAL and a RECORD-PLAYBACK would nicely
round out this very successful unit. It is OK as-is, and I do not feel
a high need, actually. I am amazed at how well this unit works. (Thank
you, MELTON!!)

Thank you and 73!! Mike, K0JTA
