[hpsdr] Tech discussion on list (new subject line)

Well, it's the third paragraph that stuck in my craw: "Because of the sheer volume of incoming manuscripts, we cannot provide detailed critiques of every submission, or offer advice on how articles may be improved. We regret we are unable to carry on further correspondence regarding your submission."

Why couldn't he have said SOMETHING about the article? Well, the answer is probably that he didn't read any of it. And is QEX really deluged with incoming articles? Based on the thickness of the publication, and the subject material they do publish, I kind-of question that.

Anyway, I believe they do have their preferred author list, but that's life...

Incidentally, I didn't want the $50/page either.

Dear Doug,
It is an interesting article. I do NOT however, find Kai's rejection letter to be rather rude, as you put it. It is more likely that it isn't really in the style that they want to publish.

I have a private message from someone asking how I measured that 53 dBm IMD3 mentioned in my post on 7/10/17, so in the spirit of those requests to continue technical discussion here, I'll answer that question even though it could be considered noise relative to openhpsdr.

Answer: I made my own tester. I submitted an article on it to QEX, where it was rejected in a rather rude letter. Here is a link, and the submitted manuscript link is at the bottom of the page...

I hope that technical discussions will remain on list. The technical discussions are the main reason I read this list. If it were mainly people who "don't understand" asking questions and the resulting replies (also a legitimate posting) mixed with those like me who only think we understand, it might not even be worth following.

The technical discussions of where HPSDR might go, or not, and why are the main reason this list exists IMHO. Hopefully those of you with the time and talent to pursue HPSDR development will continue to post here for the benefit of those of us who lack either time or talent (or both!) to meaningfully contribute.

No need to throttle back, have the discussions. Just have them here and not somewhere else.

"i" before "e" except after "c", or when sounded as "a" as in neighbor and weigh.

However this rule seems “counterfeit”.
It “forfeits” generality, lacking “height” and some “conscience”.
Maybe it’s not “either” or “neither”

Maybe the idea is “foreign”, possibly a “sovereign heir”?
Or just a “leisure” activity?

Is it nutritious as "protein"?
Unless it's just plain old "weird"

…like “efficient glacier science”?
Is this example “sufficient”?
