Helmut,

I know a couple of people using Protocol II with Hermes 10 and 10E who have not reported any problems. Having said that the software they use isn't taxing the Hermes too hard. At present I use the 8000, my 10E sits on the test bench.

Don’t forget that we even have no stable protocol 2 firmware version for the original 16 Bit Hermes design yet. The handmade UDP in the FPGA seems to be the Achilles heel.
