I believe that our hpsdr-wiki holds the solution for posting and
downloading various files, whether they be jpg or other types.

There are about 8 who have "login" and edit privilege with the wiki. It
has not been left wide open in order to prevent vandalism. Those who
have the login privilege are mainly project leaders or those working
directly on the projects.

To those leaders/workers who need to post a picture, drawing, PDF file,
etc. they may upload that file to the wiki. The wiki contains both
files which may be displayed (such as the Atlas board) and also files
that may be linked to. Use the upload file function.

Now, to display the photo (in case of jpg), you will need to edit the
text in the section where it is display and use the [[Image:file.jpg]]
reference as the upload directions tell you ... or if you do not wish to
have the image displayed in the text portion of the wiki but just have a
link the reader can click, enclose the link with single brackets such as
[http://hpsdr.org/wiki/images/c/c5/Mercury.jpg] in the text instead and
then it will appear as a link. You can get the link URL to it by
looking on the upload file page where it appears. Confused? Email me.

As a test case, I uploaded the infamous "Mercury.jpg" and have it
presently referenced at the end of the "Mercury" section of the wiki.

Unused or superseded files can be deleted by the originator.

Regarding webspace (disk space) and bandwidth (number of bytes
downloaded by users each month), we have PLENTY! At present, I have
over 2 TB (yes, Terabytes) of monthly bandwidth and halfway through my
billing cycle this month, only 12.7 GB has been used. I have 73 GB of
disk space and only 140 MB is currently being used! In addition, my
hosting provider adds 16GB bandwidth and 480 MB disk space every week to
those totals. Let's put it to good use with HPSDR!!!

73,
Don AE5K
