Looks like re-loading that software had no effect. Seems the first
failed attempt to
run the test leaves the hardware in a state that causes it to not fail
a second attempt.
At least you know that "something" before the failure was the thing
that set it up
for the second attempt. Could be something so simple as tw commands
being to
closely spaced in time, to the second one fails the 1st time, could be
a million other
things.

The normal debugging method is to search the source code for the words
in the
error message. Then when you find the place in the code where the
error was
detected, figure out how yo got there either by inspection or getting a
debugger
to give a trace back. (Sorry if this is obvious.) Typically this kind
of error is caused
by an invalid (wild) pointer and the memory location itself is fine,
it's just that
the wrong location is being pointed to.

Good news is that you've proved that your HPSDR hardware works fine.
