 Graham:
The Pinocchio extender card is essentially half of a standard VME extender
card. I have an older one that I plan to simply cut between the two
parallel sections and will have two extender cards. I was doing this just
to avoid the expense, being pretty cheap. If you are really anxious about
the availability of Pinocchio you could try the same thing. It would be
quite easy compared to laying out your own card. The card is:
Twin Industries PN 8196-6U-EXT

I purchased it from Digikey roughly a year ago. It is around 10 inches
tall, and the width is about an inch wider than two Pinocchios. If you want
to match them I would make two cuts with the band saw, and match the
Pinocchio very well. No I am not suggesting this for everyone. Each has
his own resources and capabilities.

Lyle:

I have my Atlas, Janus and Ozy on order, and then I went on the TAPR site to
order the Pinocchio extender test card, and TAPR says the card is no longer
available.

Is it dead and gone forever?

In other words, do I now need to go get my own card fabbed for a test card,
or will this card be offered in the future?

Since I am involved in developing the ALEX card, something like this would
be helpful. And ti sounds like there is a lot more stuff that needs to be
developed.
