Thanks to all for the various replies.

I forgot to state that I'm currently using WinXP SP3 32 bit flavor (at least 
for the moment).  That may change later depending on what other uses the new 
machine is put to - for the moment it's purely for SDR use.  I downloaded 
usbio.exe from the flex site.
