hi All,
I want to record the audio coming off Mercury so I can play it back later. Do we have way in the present set up to move digital data to the computer sound card? Or is is as simple as a patch cord between mercury and the sound card line in. I want to record the audio from another transmitter to see how it sounds and record signals I hear on the air. I can't seem to find any instructions on doing this. I remember talk of a VAC but don't know where to read the how to notes. I do not need to store wide band A/D data to listen to multiple signals just th eone in the passband..
Pandora, make sure the extender card will fit in case we need to do repairs. WOW, I have unplugged OZY many times with the computer turned on and USB cable connected. I hope the 5 volt pin is a NC.
Since the trap door has holes maybe it would be a good idea to mount a fan on the door and suck air up through the boards. Another option would be mount a fan behind the boards and blow air through them with and exit through the trap door.
I have not seen pictures of the linear regulator board but I would think a TO220 package bolted to the chassis bottom should work fine.
It would be nice to see pictures with a scale showing the actual open areas or some prints.
I have a couple small hypersil transformers that could power HPSDR and a final. Frank
