Graham,
I am looking for an inexpensive low phase noise oscillator for use in
measuring receiver phase noise. Thinking about purchasing a 16 MHz
crystek crystal (see: http://www.crystekcrystals.com/crystal/spec-sheets/tcxo/CXOH7.pdf
) and putting it on an Excalibur board to test phase noise. 10 MHz is
not working well for me due to the strong internal Mercury 10MHz
signal. 8 dBm out at 16 MHz would be just great.
Would this be a good solution?
