[hpsdr] [newbie startup] where do i get a power supply for my power supply?

Okay, I've been doing a bit of research and asking a few questions, time to
come back here and query the experts again about getting this project at
least up to smoketest level ;-)

As there is no 13.5v output line on the LPU, I'm assuming that the output
described on the website is actually the input and is obviously meant to be
a battery input. (I really don't want to know what 10A draw would do to my
7Ah brick batteries though)
(*) Can someone confirm that this thing is really expecting 10A, especially
with the BOM/schematic saying that it's PTC-fused to 5A (or 7A with the 3.3v
kit)?

I have been told that a 12v power source will not work with this due to the
regulators, I'm guessing that U4 in particular will not be fond of an input
voltage so near its output voltage.
(*) DigiKey only has a single 13.5v transformer on their entire website (8A
switched, Part T1051-P51-ND), would this be a good choice (especially as
it's under-rated), does the switching introduce noise that the LPU cannot
regulate back out again?
(*) I've had one person say that a power source would contain a transformer,
rectifier, and regulator and that for 10A my best bet might be to order the
parts and build my own somewhere.

The guy at the local hardware store recognized the power connectors on the
board as being manufactured by some company like STEXA or something (only
saw the name for a few seconds), says that they're rated at 15A and 16AWG
and that he can special-order them.
(*) Why are there two pairs of connectors, especially if each connector can
handle the full power load and the schematic shows that they are shorted
against each other?

Again, thank you all for your help and patience.
