All,

Testing of the Metis boards continues to go well with the PC/MAC and FPGA
code nearing production release candiates.

Doug, W5WC, and Bill, KD5TFD, have modified PowerSDR(TM) (V1.19.3.2) to
support Metis and will merge to a 2.x version as soon as a stable version is
available. John, G0ORX, ghspr3 Linux code and Jeremy, NH6Z, MacHPSDR code
also support Metis.

Always nice to end the year on a high note. I've been struggling with
trying to get Metis to program the flash memory on a Mercury/Penny board via
the Atlas bus. Finally got it to work today.

John, G0ORX, has written a cross platform PC application that enables the
FPGA code in the Metis board to be updated. The next version of his code
will allow updates to Mercury and Penelope using Metis and frees us from the
need to use the Altera Quartus programming tools/code and the frequent
version updates that entailes.

Looks like 2011 is going to be another interesting year for HPSDR projects
with Hermes, Apollo, Alex and Metis moving into production.

There is also interest in moving the Cyclops 1GHz spectrum analyser into
Alpha stage as well as a high power linear amplifier project in the design
stages.

73 and a Happy New Year to all HPSDR followers.
