Hi Eric,

Good to hear that you are making progress.  You are correct in that Metis will only respond to Discovery packets that are sent to the broadcast address and its port number.

  Well, after spending a fair bit of time on this, the good news is that I think I have Metis working for me, at least to the point that the [SYNC] button turns green and the Setup page is now giving the version of Mercury that I'm using.  The main window is still blank, but figuring out how to use this program is likely going to wait for another day.


  The bad news is... I kinda went overboard and rewrote the detection logic and the contents of the "Ethernet" tab in the setup window.


  Quick aside: is it true that Metis will ignore any Discovery packets that are sent directly to it and not to the local broadcast address?
