At Dayton this year Scotty and I tag teamed the "OpenHPSDR Update" portion of the TAPR forum.  I gave a short presentation and overview of the OpenHPSDR Software ecosystem.  It has changed slightly since then, but not a lot.  I have put up slides for my software portion of the presentation at:

Folks are welcome to use this as a basis of something else on the Wiki if they'd like.  If folks have a copy of the DVDs of the forum, they can probably see my bright shining face and hear me actually articulate the points on the slides.  Just give me a break if you watch, it's hard to follow Scotty with all the YLs throwing themselves at his feet.

Dave has been working on systems such that whatever gets into the SVN is reflected on the downloads page (http://openhpsdr.org/download.php).  I would encourage folks to use the downloads page as their first resource when seeking new releases for software.  The page is really very good for pointing you in the right direction for the various software packages.
