This is a problem, and not only for alex, but also for mercury and pennylane. Best solution should be, in my opinion, to use elbow shaped bnc with a panel locking nut in the front, as in the following catalog

Locking all the connectors to a metal plane will also greatly improve the rf shielding.
Problem is: how to remove the existing bnc without damaging the pc boards ?
