[hpsdr] Another pitfall with Win 7

Dear Greg,
The first of your issues is easily installed by using the driver installer
that I prepared about 18 months ago that is the USB driver for Ozy, both 32
and 64 bit. It installs the correct version of the driver for your version
of Windows (32 bit driver and DLL for 32 bit OS, 64 bit driver for 64 bit
OS.)

Since the applications are all 32 bit applications, they DO use the 32 bit
libusb0.dll file, I do believe. If you are using a PowerSDR installation
based on Bill's 'PennyMerge' directory, there is a libusb0.dll file in the
executable directory. Installing the driver using the driver .inf file will
have placed a possibly newer DLL in the appropriate Windows subdirectory,
and possibly placed one in the 'SysWow64' directory where 32 bit apps and
DLLs go on a 64 bit OS, as well as whatever goes in the System32 directory
(a 32 bit DLL on 32 bit Windows, a 64 bit DLL on 64 bit Windows).

Now if Dave KV0S could update the webpage that references the LibUSB0 driver
(downloads), to indicate that the LIbUSB0 driver is for BOTH 32 bit AND 64
bit windows operating systems and NOT JUST for Windows 7 64 bit, that would
help people a lot, I think.

I'm happy to hear that the collective intelligence of the braintrust of this
project was able to solve your problems on Teamspeak last night (my time, at
least). The 'step 2' issues are due largely to the fact that we don't
provide installers for this software, and only provide a zip file that
contains the executable directory, or the source for you to build it
yourself. It is unlikely that we would provide installers, as the free
version of Visual Studio doesn't build deployment projects, and as of Visual
studio 2011, you function to build them has been removed from the 'paid'
product, and people told to use InstallShield, which costs thousands of
dollars. There are few to none 'good' 'free' installers. True, NullSoft
exists, but it's quite cryptic to use.
