Hi All.

I am working on a 600-1000W PA using the newest LDMOS transistors from
Freescale. I tested MRFE6VP61K25H and got >600W PEP output with good
linearity, IM3 better than -30 dBc rel. to each tone. I had only a 48V
750W PSU so at 15A, the voltage started to drop.

I have searched on Internet to find a 2000W PSU and found one meant for
use on base stations for Mobile Communications. It is constructed by ELTEK
in Norway but it is made in China. There are several company that sells
it. I have bought one and it arrived yesterday. It looks very
professionally made and it works fine, I tested it with 20A load, so far
no problem.

It is built to be hot-plugged into a rack and deliver power together with
several units. It is controlled by a CAN Bus but can be used without any
control connected. The voltage is set by the manufacturer to 53,5V and can
deliver 37,4V.

The connector interface can easily be home made using a piece of dual
sided PCB. By using a sharp knife I made a connector in less than an hour.

It has a soft-start and there are two small temperature controlled fans
for cooling.

The Part name is: Flatpack2 2000W 48V. Input voltage is universal
100-250VAC.

The size is: W=110mm, H=43mm, D=332mm.

If someone is interested, I´ll send you the name of the company I got it
from.

73, Kjell
