[hpsdr] 100D Noise Figure?

Hi Clyde,

Since the  openHPSR/Hermes/ANAN-* hardware can be accurately calibrated it can measure its own Noise Figure.

Noise Figure (db)  = 174 - 10log(bandwidth Hz) + noise floor     where noise floor is in dBm and in the same bandwidth.

Lets take some actual figures using Mercury that has been calibrated at 14MHz.  Using PowerSDR with the RX1 meter set to Sig Avg, a 2.9kHz bandwidth and sampling at 48kHz  the noise floor is  -130dBm with a 50 ohm termination directly on the antenna socket.

Putting these figures into the above formula yields:

NF = 174 -10log(2900)  -130  = 9.4dB

Has anyone gotten a fix on what the effective Noise Figure of the ANAN-100D is, when used as a 28MHz IF for transverters?
