[hpsdr] Remote Control?

What is the state of the art in remote control of an OpenHPSDR Tranceiver (such as an Anan) via an internet connection with 1 or
2Mb/s uplink and typical latency?  I know OpenHPSDR can be operated via Remote Desktop, but what is the optimal setup for Rx audio
to the remote site and Tx audio to the Transceiver, i.e. a full, functioning remote setup?
