Phil,

This all sounds great, I'm all for advancing the "state-of-the-art".

It would be great if an option was to have the SBC on a PCIE bus, that way it could be placed directly into a computer with such an interface (most PC's) or put into a PCIE Expansion box (e.g. a Mac expansion box fed by a Thunderbolt cable). That would get us a very high speed connection to the device and some OS independence.

Does this also mean that the proposed changes to the Metis / Hermes protocol from the "Discussion Paper - openHPSDR Ethernet Protocol" are not going to be done?
