Hi Barry, 

The source code for all of the OpenHPSDR boards is located on the SVN.  For Hermes as an example, the source code can be found at

http://svn.tapr.org/repos_sdr_hpsdr/trunk/Hermes/Source/Hermes_v2.9/Heremes_v2.9.qar

Similarly for Metis, Ozy, Mercury, and Penelope.

For Angelia and Orion the source code is available on both my website download page within the firmware download zipped folder

and the Apache Labs download page (sorry, I don’t have the URL for that handy). 

The source code is generally stored in the form of a *.qar file, which is the Quartus II archive file format.   It can be opened and edited and re-compiled if you wish using Quartus II.
