Absolutely agreed, Kjell. Today you have to pay USD 270.-for the TI dual(!)
ADC16DX370 offering 16bit, 370 MSPS and 7,4 Gb/s JESD204B outputs. This
would be a fine device for HF and VHF with two frontends (diversity etc.)

Hi Jay.

I see your point but a few years before the LT2208 came on the market the  
cost for a similar ADC was >US$ 50.000! So may be the price is coming down  
for an ADC usable at least to 1 GHz very soon. Just wait and see.
