Bob,

The usual HPSDR Programmer does not work with Protocol 2.

If you have Protocol 1 firmware in your radio you may (one time) load either Protocol 1 or Protocol 2 firmware using the current HPSDR programmer but after Protocol 2 is in the radio the current HPSDR programmer will no longer work; you must thereafter use bootloader mode to change firmware once Protocol 2 firmware is in the radio.

Dave KV0S has a beta version of Protocol 2 programmer that sometimes works on Windows machines and sometimes not; there are still problems with it. I think it may be on the github repository if you wish to give it a try. But, in any case, any version of bootloader will work to load any firmware regardless of whether Protocol 1 or Protocol 2 is in the radio.

It also modifies the PHY Rx clock skew timing to (hopefully) allow use of the firmware on more ANAN-100D radios with less undesirable unit-specific behavior. The version also fixes the external PTT IN feature (pin 13 on the accessory jack of the ANAN-100D).
