[hpsdr] Using original Hermes or Mercury for eclipse recording on Linux

I would like to use my original Hermes or Mercury/Atlas/Metis 
during the eclipse to record WWV in a wav file and feed Spectrum 
Lab to record frequency measurements for the HamSCI project.  I 
have an Ubuntu desktop that I can use.  I have a GPSDO for the 
10 MHz reference.

What software can I use?

I don't think that I can run PowerSDR under WINE.
Is someone having success running Protocol 1 on Hermes or 
Mercury on Ubuntu?
