Hi Dean,

Penelope employs the Darlington chip ULN2003 for the 7 open collector
outputs and is rated up to 50 V:

Don't worry to use Penelope switching a 24V relay. Note to match REF-Pin
also to 24V rail.

Betreff: [hpsdr] Penelope J6 open collector voltage capability

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

I use Penelope open collectors to band change my Codan Amplifier. The LPF
relays in the Codan operate at 12 volts and Penelope switches bands no
problem.
My Sailor T1130 amplifier uses 24 volt relay coils.
These relays have BAV21 switching back EMF diodes.
I know Penelope is similarly protected with fly back diodes.
My question is will Penelope switch 24 volts.
I can't find any reference to this question but it has been asked B4.

Cheers Dean. VK5LB.
